The objective for Melissa Waterman, owner of Waterman Resource Group, was to create portraits for promotional use on their brochures and website that were accessible, friendly and professional. So excited about the release of Dona Bopp’s album, Be that Someone. I had the pleasure of creating some images for her to use for album art. We shot these portraits at Vines Botanical Gardens, which has this perfect magical secret garden setting. She is so stunning with the camera, I just love these portraits.
And, of course, once her album is done we will be featuring a few of her songs on our client slideshows as well. Pretty excited…
Tricil is electronic artist John Jacobus from right here in Atlanta. We have been featuring three of his original songs in our slideshows and they add this great energy to our portraits. We photographed the Tricil portraits with the Atlanta skyline as a background at SCAD. Dark, moody and colorful. Just like the sounds of Tricil.

It’s band and musician week on the blog! I had the pleasure of getting to know and creating band portraits for Taco in downtown Decatur. They are a musical project of a friend of mine and are just wonderful people.
I have been featuring a few of their original jazz compositions in my client slideshows, including songs like Carlos and Another Blues… love it!
For those who don’t know, Elise Witt leads the Impromptu Glorious Chorus in Decatur. Her circle sings are inspiring and beautiful, merging a group of strangers into a big circle of love and sound. Everyone becomes a singer, the room becomes filled with sound and harmonies. They and she are amazing.
I did some portraits with her in Little 5 Points in Atlanta to create some press images she can use that will convey her story and who she is. They feel photojournalistic, natural and authentic to the joy that follows her.
