As as Atlanta headshot photographer, some of my favorite kinds of people to make portraits with are doctors, scientists, researchers, authors, lawyers and academics.  

These kinds of specialty fields are my niche and it really fits me well. As someone who is neither scientist nor doctor, but rather someone deeply interested in learning, their stories and their work compel me. 

  I love working and moving through Emory’s Chemistry labs, the textures and colors of the vials and tubes that they are investigating, the small details and the bright white walls with scribbles of equations everywhere.   I am not the most serious Atlanta headshot photographer while I am working and I love talking to the people I am creating portraits for, about the smallest details in their lives.  Finding a laugh because they are remembering an old dog, thinking about the things that their children love most.  This is the kind of expression I am looking for in any kind of person, ones that are real and reflective of meaningful experiences in people’s lives.  A good portrait is one that reflects something true and wonderful, brings out personality and insight.  What a joy my work is to share these moments with the people I am photographing.

Atlanta Headshot photographer Jessica Lily was formally trained in fine arts & photography.  Her commercial and family portrait images tell a story and they are easy and fun to be a part of. After 12 years of being a professional Atlanta portrait photographer, she continues to deeply enjoy the work and the people.   She is inspired by the people she works with.
