Leah and Vikram’s Wedding at the Roswell Founder’s Hall

June 29, 2009 By Jessica Lily

Leah and Vikram’s bright, summer wedding was so wonderful to be a part of… Leah had matching robes for her bridesmaids made, each monogrammed with their initial. This kind of attention to detail made the getting ready pictures we did at Leah and Vikram’s new home so colorful and vivid. Leah had some other really fabulous details as well, including sparkling Stuart Weitzman shoes, chocolate poker candies to lie alongside playing cards, and a really fun cake topper made from tulle. Leah’s gift basket company is Tulle’s of the Trade and she is really great with ribbons and, of course… tulle…

It rained gently during her ceremony, but her love from friends and family proved strong as they all stayed with umbrellas to be a part of such an important moment in their lives. It cleared as quickly as it came and we were able to capture a few minutes of portraits of their families, bridal party and even just the two of them after the ceremony was over. I love the victorious nature of my phenomenally reliant couples… the few times that I have photographed an event where there is rain, by the end the couple’s affection seems stronger (and the reception affairs always seem like they are just a little bit more triumphant.) Something about overcoming obstacles really can bring out the best in people.
